The Lonsdale Area Food Shelf (LAFS) will once again hold its annual Christmas Gift Program. We offer Clients with children the opportunity to sign up to receive gifts for their family. We are grateful to our community for their wonderful support in the past. We are hoping for that same support this year.
If you or your organization would be willing to help provide gifts for one or more families, please see the important deadline dates below:
Wednesday Nov 4th – last date to notify us if you wish to participate in the program
Tuesday Nov 17th to Thursday Nov 19th – date family lists will be provided to you for gift purchasing.
Wednesday Dec 2nd – date to deliver unwrapped gifts to LAFS (5:30 – 7:00 pm)
We ask that you provide 3 to 4 gifts per person ranging in price from $5.00 to $25.00. Suggested items will be provided to you along with the family number (for identification), age, male/female, clothes sizes, etc.
Families will be identified by number only. Please bag each family member’s unwrapped gifts separately, with the family identification number on the outside.
For those who would like to participate in this program, but do not have the time to shop, monetary donations are welcome. We will find a volunteer to do the shopping in your place. If you know of someone who may be interested in helping provide gifts but hasn’t been asked yet please ask them to get in touch with Tami or give her their contact information.
If you know of a family that you feel could benefit from this program, please contact us so we can check if they are on our list.
